In this episode of the Stuck Mic AvCast we ended up spending the bulk of our show on a discussion about ways that pilots can stay flying and ways to stay involved in aviation versus quitting altogether. Many factors can play into such a decision to quitting aviation such as time constraints and increasing costs and in this show we share our ideas on how to remain involved including what we hope to be some motivational means to helping you keep up with our favorite lofty hobby.

The EAA Grassroots Pilot Tour is headed your way! Learn more about the aviation issues of our time including what you can do to help grow participation in aviation and inspire the next generation of aviators. Click the above link for the upcoming scheduled tour locations.
AOPA Aviation Summit comes to Palm Springs, CA October 11th to 13th, 2012. There’s educational classes, hands-on learning, over 400 vendors, the parade of planes, not to mention other interactive experiences and products demonstrations. Never been? Co-host Rick Felty recommends attending at least once!
The merger between ThePilotReport and StuckMicAvCast is nearly complete! All posts, photos, and videos over at ThePilotReport.com can now be accessed here directly on StuckMicAvCast.com. This also means our FREE mobile app available on iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, and Android has been updated to include the new PilotReport content like videos, photos, direct access to our blog, our product store for nifty Stuck Mic AvCast Swag, and new ways to contact us both via snail mail and telephone. The obnoxious ads inside the app have also been removed for your viewing pleasure.
During the merger process, founder Len Costa noticed we didn’t have any listeners tuning in from Greenland! The shame. So starting in Episode 33 and continuing every episode going forward until we see our northern cousins tuning in we’ll be featuring a new segment called, “What’s Great About Greenland?” This weeks great Greenland fact includes the northern lights! A natural light display, also known as Aurora Borealis, is caused by the collision of energized particles in the sky creating a visible and colorful display of dancing green to purple waves in the night sky. Something that should never be missed if given the chance to experience! Thanks, Greenland 🙂 Oh, and we like the pronunciation of your capital, Nuuk, which sounds like nuke. Apparently that’s what co-host Victoria Neuville does to her TV dinners… Guess her new husband doesn’t cook? LOL
Moving on!
