Our guest John Telfeyan, Senior Engineering Technician, comes from the high-performance competitive boating industry. He worked his way through a world-renowned sailboat design and fabrication house over the course of a 30 year career developing significant expertise in carbon fiber composite construction techniques.

During this episode, John shares with us not only how he got started working for Terrafugia but also some juicy details about the inner workings of the Terrafugia Roadable Aircraft!

Video: The Human Jet

Ever wondered what it would feel like to fly? And I don’t mean as the pilot of an aircraft. You ARE the aircraft, flying like a bird, soaring through the sky.

In this video from TED you meet Yves Rossy, aka “The Jetman.” Yves flies as a human jet, strapping himself to a flying wing, including parachute, and jet engines, flying through the air. You’ll also learn how Yves controls the “aircraft” through specific body movements alone since their are no controllable flight surfaces.

Yves has also performed some record breaking flights as the human jet. Watch the video to learn more!
