SMAC182 Private-Airplane Passenger Safety: What You Need To Know

Private-Airplane Passenger SafetyPrivate-Airplane Passenger Safety: What You Need To Know. As pilots we enjoy sharing our passion for aviation and want to take our friends and family flying. One topic which many times comes up in conversation with our potential passengers is how safe is flying. Well one person who has addressed this issue is John O. Graybill in his book “Private-Airplane Passenger Safety: What You Need To Know”.

Although John has written this book for passengers we can all learn from his advice in this simple to read and informative book. We can help our potential first time flyers by having them read this book along with reading it ourselves. This book can help everyone learn the advantages or private flying, dispel myths about private aviation, and help us as pilots project a positive image as an aviator and upon the aviation community as a whole.

SMAC181 Is My Aircraft Airworthy?

We had a listener write in recently asking if we can discuss how to determine if our aircraft is airworthy, The recent crash in Daytona Beach, FL caused him to think more about determining if an airplane is airworthy from a legal and practical standpoint. He also wanted to know how to determine if the school, club, or FBO you rent from has airworthy airplanes.  All good questions.
