Runway Pilot Aviation Inspired Apparel Video Review

RunwayPilot.com was started by two college friends with nothing more than a desire to create an aviation inspired clothing line.  The idea came to them during a cross-country flying adventure to Las Vegas back in 1998 where they wished they had some aviation apparel to wear out on the town.  Fast forward to 2009 and the Runway Pilot Aviation Inspired Clothing Line was born!

The first product I reviewed was the Flock of Pilots black t-shirt.  This shirt is made from a medium-weight 50% cotton/50% polyester blend fabric and is classified as a classic fit.  On the front of the shirt you will find the Runway Pilot wings and propeller logo clustered tightly like a flock of birds, in the shape of a jetliner.  Very cool!

Our next product was the white, Flitek Performance Bamboo Polo shirt.  On the left breast is the wings and propeller logo, green in color.  The shirt is made from light-weight fabric consisting of a 70% Rayon from bamboo/30% organic cotton blend and is defined as a classic fit.  You can’t believe your skin when you feel this amazingly soft material hugging you gently, it’s ridiculously comfortable.

Some benefits to bamboo clothing are: easily laundered, 3-4 times greater moisture wicking, naturally anti-bacterial and anti-fungal to keep you smelling fresh all day long, it’s eco-friendly, hypo-allergenic, and non-irritating even to sensitive skin; just to name a few.

The 1-liter aluminum water bottle was my third item up for review.  It’s light, durable, and stylish with a combination the the Runway Pilot logos on the front and the website address on the back.  The gray screw-off cover was easily manipulated and comes attached to the bottle with a black plastic retainer strap.  Just use caution when filling this puppy up with any hot liquids as the aluminum bottle could be too hot to touch!

Next comes the high-quality, Vinyl Sticker Set.  This sticker set is a combination of three (3) stickers – two (2) small wing and propeller logo stickers, and one (1) larger sticker of the same design.  When I removed the sticker to place it on the back of my Macbook Pro laptop screen, the first thing I noticed was the thickness.  They are not made of some cheap, thin vinyl and are clearly produced to adhere well and last a long time.

Of course I saved my favorite item for last – the black, Pinstripe Flex-Fit Hat.  This black hat with white pinstripes dons a small, white, wings and propeller Runway Pilot logo on the left side.  The addition of the white pinstripe makes this hat not only very stylish, but also very classy looking.  I instantly received compliments from a friend of mine the first time I wore this beautiful hat.

Having never previously owned a flex-fit hat I needed to do a little more research.  The flex-fit technology stretches very easily, it retains it’s shape very well, is moisture treated to help keep your head cool and dry, contains a sweat absorbent band to allow better airflow, and comes with a permacurv visor that virtually never needs to be shaped.
