Florida Pilot ConferenceThe Florida Pilot Conference is a new conference happening May 4th, 2019 in Orlando, Florida. It is an educational event for pilots that would like to learn more about flying IFR and glider flying, as well as a social event for pilots.

In this Episode We Discuss (Florida Pilot Conference):

  • Keeping current as a pilot, which can be tough when you don’t work for an airline or fly professionally every day.
  • Topics include:
    • Flying with non-pilot passengers.
    • Flying IFR.
    • Using an iPad as your “flight bag.”
    • IFR Departures and Arrivals.
    • 10 commonly missed questions on the IFR oral exam and 10 questions for a pilot interview that most people get wrong (both taught by Carl himself!).
  • Presentations will only be 45 minutes with a break in between and a Starbucks in the lobby!
  • Held at the Florida Hotel and Conference Center just west of Orlando International Airport and attached to the Florida Mall, about 15 minutes from the theme parks.
  • You can fly into Orlando International, Orlando Executive, or Kissimmee Airport.
  • Rooms $132 per night, which is much cheaper than normal. Other hotel options are available.
  • Social event at 5pm after the conference at the Crickets restaurant in the hotel.
  • Tickets are $99 in advance, $129 at the door. It includes the conference and materials.
  • Kicks off at 9am, runs into 4pm with the social event at 5.
  • This will be very practical and interactive.
