I downloaded the AeroWeather iPhone app a while back and have been using is frequently. It’s nice for those times when you just need a quick peek at the current weather conditions and don’t feel like launching Safari to hit up ADDS.
Here are some of the features of this application:
- Airport selection options: choose from a worldwide airport directory, search by ICAO code, or find nearest airports using the location service on your phone
- View METARS and TAFS (reference ONLY – no mention of QICP certification by application programmer)
- View airport details like UTC time, airport latitude/longitude, variation, elevation, sunrise/sunset times, and more
- Supports both Metric and US units
- Choose raw or decoded results
- View additional airport information on Airnav.com and NavMonster.com
Watch the video above for a complete application demo and tutorial.
