How To Use Your iPad As An EFB

The iPad isn’t just a magical new internet device, it’s also a perfect candidate for use as an Electronic Flight Bag (EFB).  With it’s many apps and the ability to connect anywhere with the iPad 3G, your dreams of a paperless cockpit are one step closer.

I stumbled on a really cool blog post describing how this particular iPad user is doing just that – using his magical new device in the cockpit:  iPad EFB In the Cockpit.

Enjoy!

Aviators, Welcome!

Welcome to ThePilotReport.com!  This site is dedicated to putting some fun back into aviation.  What do I mean by that?

Well, I’m an airline pilot and I currently fly for a major airline out of the New York tri-state area.  I’m probably one of the few airliners that still enjoys general aviation and I’ve stayed active in instructing (CFII/MEI) over the years.  But flying the jet from place to place just to stay at a new hotel and eat some crappy fast food has taken some of the fun out of the job – and the remedy for that is of course, more cowbell!

Ok, ok I’m joking about the cowbell.  I’m just a passionate aviator with a talent for the interweb arts.  The mission of this website is to provide the best aviation reviews for such items as aviation software (on the PC, Mac®, iPhone®, Android™, BlackBerry®, & iPad® apps), aviation hardware (GPS, radios, glass displays, etc), aviation gadgets & gear, aircraft demos, industry news, interviews, videos, podcasts, photos, and much, much more!

I really hope you’ll make ThePilotReport.com your number one place for all things commercial and general aviation related.

So thank you from the bottom of my heart for visiting this website, and please, tell your friends!  🙂

Clear Skies & Calm Winds,
