Video – Landing a Jet in the Islands

A couple months back, I flew a Beechcraft Premier business jet down to the Bahamas to pick up a client and take them home stateside.  Because it was an empty leg, I figured it was an excellent time to get some video of some flying in this beautiful area of the globe.  Shown in this video is the takeoff, some scenes from cruise, some time-lapsed footage of the descent and approach, and then my landing from the left seat.

Video: The Travels of a Corporate Pilot, Vol. 1

I decided to throw together a video using some of the clips I’ve taken in the past 8 months or so.  It’s amazing to look back and see all the places I’ve gotten to go and things I’ve gotten to see, but even more so as I realize that I didn’t come close to using clips from all my video, and didn’t even take video on most of my trips.  Places included are Dallas, TX, Las Vegas, NV, Raleigh, NC, Beaufort, NC, Chicago, IL, Rochester, NY, and various other locations as we flew over.  This was taken from the Cessna Citation X, Beechcraft Premier, Beechcraft King Air 200, Cessna 340A, a corporate 767-200, as well as some airline flights I was on as a passenger.

As I continue to fly around the continent (and beyond), I’ll keep taking video and I plan on continuing to put together collections such as this.  Enjoy!

Photos: Cruising the Southeast

These are some photos I was able to snap this past week on a few of my trips.  The never-ending adventure that is corporate aviation took me on a tour of the southeast this week in a few different airplanes, going from NC to FL and back twice, and back and forth across NC itself a couple times as well.  These particular photos were taken from the cockpit of a Beechcraft Premier business jet, and then on the ground of the Cessna 208 Grand Caravan before I flew it.  Enjoy!
