Video: The Human Jet

Ever wondered what it would feel like to fly? And I don’t mean as the pilot of an aircraft. You ARE the aircraft, flying like a bird, soaring through the sky.

In this video from TED you meet Yves Rossy, aka “The Jetman.” Yves flies as a human jet, strapping himself to a flying wing, including parachute, and jet engines, flying through the air. You’ll also learn how Yves controls the “aircraft” through specific body movements alone since their are no controllable flight surfaces.

Yves has also performed some record breaking flights as the human jet. Watch the video to learn more!
